As we launched the new breakthrough report, Fueling Agriculture: Biofuels as the Catalyst, we were confident the findings would add an important new perspective to the conversation around agriculture’s future. What has been especially encouraging is the broad and enthusiastic response we’ve received from across the agricultural and biofuels communities. Simply put, the rollout has exceeded our expectations.

This report is resonating because it reframes biofuels as more than an energy solution. It demonstrates that expanding biofuel markets is also an agricultural strategy—one that creates new demand for farmers, strengthens rural economies, supports American energy security, and enables agriculture to produce more food, feed, fiber and fuel with fewer resources.

That message is being amplified by a diverse coalition of organizations that helped make this work possible. Thank you to South Dakota Corn, Kansas Corn, Minnesota Corn, Iowa Corn, Nebraska Corn, POET, BASF, Growth Energy, U.S. Grains and Bioproducts Council, Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative, Renewable Fuels Nebraska, South Dakota Ethanol, and the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association, among others.

The momentum has continued to build since the report’s unveiling on Capitol Hill. Members of Congress have highlighted its findings, pointing to the report as a roadmap for expanding markets, strengthening rural America, and advancing U.S. energy leadership. Industry leaders have echoed the report’s central conclusion: agriculture’s remarkable productivity must be matched by equally ambitious efforts to develop new markets that create value for farmers. Perhaps most encouraging is that the conversation is extending beyond Washington. The report is already being cited by state commodity organizations, renewable fuels advocates, agricultural media, and international leaders discussing food security, energy security, economic security and the circular bioeconomy. That is exactly the kind of broad engagement we hoped to inspire.
