Webinar Series: Potential for U.S. Agriculture to Be Greenhouse Gas Negative
In April 2025, USFRA launched a five-part webinar series based on its groundbreaking report, “Potential for U.S. Agriculture to Be Greenhouse Gas Negative.” The report, published by the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) in late 2024, was written by 26 leading research scientists. The peer-reviewed report outlines how agriculture can more than offset its carbon footprint while increasing farmer profitability and farm resilience.
Each webinar focused on one of the five areas of opportunities identified in the report: nitrogen fertilizer management, soil carbon management, animal production and management, energy and energy use efficiency, and crop production and the yield gap.
